The Orthodoxie program on French television
Since 1965, the program "Orthodoxie" has made it possible to discover, once a month, the cult and cultures of the Orthodox Church as well as its roots, its questioning and its testimony within contemporary French society. This show was originally initiated on Channel 1 thanks to Constantin Andronikof.
Currently, the state television program "Orthodoxie", France 2, is produced and presented by Father Zhivko Panev, under the patronage of the Assembly of Orthodox Bishops of France. It airs one Sunday a month from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. It is part of the Sunday morning magazine "The Paths of Faith", edited by Laure Baudouin, director of the Religious Emissions Unit.
Before Father Jivko, Father Nicolas Ozoline had produced from 1983 some 500 30-minute Sunday broadcasts on the Orthodox Church in France and elsewhere in the world (Turkey, Greece, Russia, Romania, Belgium, Switzerland, etc.) . Before him, the future Metropolitan Jean had been the producer.
We present on the various pages of this site more than 30 hours of television archives of the program "Orthodoxy" in partnership with the cultural service of the National Audiovisual Institute (INA).
